Security personnel have been deployed in Kathmandu Valley since this morning. The EC has arranged three-tier security in each polling station to avoid any untoward incident during the election.

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Nepal Police personnel have been deployed in the first tier, Armed Police Force in the second tier and Nepal Army in the third tier for security.

Nepal Army Spokesperson Narayan Silwal said that the army has made a security strategy to reach any polling station within 30 minutes at most.

Spokesperson of the Nepal Police, SSP Bishnukumar KC said that the election security challenge is relatively less as armed groups are not active in the country this time but the police is vigilant over possible inter-party and intra-party conflicts.
