KATHMANDU, June 22: The Kathmandu Valley looked lively on Tuesday with human and vehicular movements following the government’s decision to ease the prohibitory orders enforced to curb the second wave of COVID-19 from today.

A meeting of the chief district officers of the Valley – Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur – decided to allow private vehicles and taxis to ply the roads from Tuesday according to the odd-even rule.

The government has also allowed the departmental stores, shopping malls, clothing stores, cosmetics, and tailor shops to remain open between 11 AM and 4 PM on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
