US dollar value goes up

Nepal Rastra Bank has set the foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar is Rs 138.17, while the selling rate is Rs 138.77.

KATHMANDU, Jan 30: Nepal Rastra Bank has set the foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar is Rs 138.17, while the selling rate is Rs 138.77. 


The buying rate for one euro is Rs 143.78, and the selling rate is Rs 144.40. The British pound sterling stands at Rs 171.63 for buying and Rs 172.37 for selling, while the Swiss franc is set at Rs 152.51 for buying and Rs 153.17 for selling. 


The Australian dollar has a buying rate of Rs 86.06 and a selling rate of Rs 86.43, while the Canadian dollar stands at Rs 95.81 for buying and Rs 96.32 for selling. The Singapore dollar is valued at Rs 102.29 for buying and Rs 102.33 for selling.

Meanwhile, 10 Japanese yen are being traded at Rs 8.89 for buying and Rs 8.93 for selling. The Chinese yuan is set at Rs 19.05 for buying and Rs 19.14 for selling, while the Saudi Arabian riyal stands at Rs 36.84 for buying and Rs 37.00 for selling. The Qatari riyal is being traded at Rs 37.90 for buying and Rs 38.06 for selling. 


As per the central bank, the Thai baht has a buying rate of Rs 4.10 and a selling rate of Rs 4.11. The UAE dirham is valued at Rs 37.62 for buying and Rs 37.78 for selling. The Malaysian ringgit is being traded at Rs 31.45 for buying and Rs 31.59 for selling. 


Meanwhile, 100 South Korean won stand at Rs 9.56 for buying and Rs 9.60 for selling. The Swedish krona is valued at Rs 12.55 for buying and Rs 12.61 for selling, while the Danish krone has a buying rate of Rs 19.27 and a selling rate of Rs 19.35. 


Nepal Rastra Bank has also set the exchange rate for the Hong Kong dollar at Rs 17.74 for buying and Rs 17.81 for selling. The Kuwaiti dinar stands at Rs 447.88 for buying and Rs 449.82 for selling, while the Bahraini dinar is valued at Rs 366.50 for buying and Rs 368.09 for selling. 


The Omani riyal is traded at Rs 358.88 for buying and Rs 360.44 for selling. Additionally, 100 Indian rupees are being exchanged at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling. 


The central bank has stated that these rates are subject to change as needed. It also noted that commercial banks may set different exchange rates, and the updated rates will be available on the central bank’s website.
