US dollar priced at Rs 137.56, euro at Rs 148.35

Nepal Rastra Bank has set the exchange rates for foreign currencies for today. The central bank has set the buying rate for 1 US dollar at Rs 136.96 and the selling rate at Rs 137.56.

KATHMANDU, March 28: Nepal Rastra Bank has set the exchange rates for foreign currencies for today. The central bank has set the buying rate for 1 US dollar at Rs 136.96 and the selling rate at Rs 137.56. 


For other major currencies, the buying and selling rates are as follows: 1 euro is bought at Rs 147.70 and sold at Rs 148.35, 1 UK pound sterling is bought at Rs 177.18 and sold at Rs 177.95, and 1 Swiss franc is bought at Rs 154.98 and sold at Rs 155.66.


The buying rate for 1 Australian dollar is Rs 86.46, and the selling rate is Rs 86.83, while the buying rate for 1 Canadian dollar is Rs 95.88 and the selling rate is Rs 96.30. For the Singapore dollar, the buying rate is Rs 102.26 and the selling rate is Rs 102.71.

For Asian currencies, the buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.08, and the selling rate is Rs 9.12. The buying rate for 1 Chinese yuan is Rs 18.85, and the selling rate is Rs 18.94. The buying rate for 1 Saudi Arabian riyal is Rs 36.51, and the selling rate is Rs 36.67, while 1 Qatari riyal is bought at Rs 37.57 and sold at Rs 37.74.


The buying rate for 1 Thai Baht is Rs 4.05, and the selling rate is Rs 4.06, while 1 UAE Dirham is bought at Rs 37.29 and sold at Rs 37.45. For the Malaysian ringgit, the buying rate is Rs 30.91, and the selling rate is Rs 31.04, while 100 South Korean won is bought at Rs 9.35 and sold at Rs 9.39.


For Scandinavian currencies, the buying rate for 1 Swedish krona is Rs 13.66, and the selling rate is Rs 13.72, while 1 Danish krone is bought at Rs 19.80 and sold at Rs 19.89. The buying rate for 1 Hong Kong dollar is Rs 17.61, and the selling rate is Rs 17.69. For the Kuwaiti dinar, the buying rate is Rs 444.06, and the selling rate is Rs 446.00, while the buying rate for 1 Bahraini dinar is Rs 363.27 and the selling rate is Rs 364.86.


For 1 Omani riyal, the buying rate is Rs 355.76, and the selling rate is Rs 357.32. The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees is set at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.


Nepal Rastra Bank has clarified that it may revise these rates at any time as needed. Commercial banks may set different exchange rates, and the updated rates will be available on the central bank's official website.
