Scher held talks with Defense Minister, Bidya Bhandari on the day of his arrival. He is scheduled to meet with the home minister and other political leaders on Thursday.
Although the American embassy has termed his visit ´regular,´ Army sources have claimed that he is here for a "review of US-aid programs."
