According to the Spokesperson of the US embassy here, Nicole A Chulick, the ambassador met Koirala regarding the political turn of events of the last few days. "The meeting with Koirala was for the ambassador to gain a better understanding of the political situation," Chulick said.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Powell also met with foreign minister and chairman of Madhesi People´s Rights Forum, Upendra Yaday, on Friday. The Forum holds the key to the formation of the next government.
