KATHMANDU, Jan 19: Nepal Police arrested operators of two pharmacies from Hetauda on the charge of taking high prices for facemasks.
Sajit Ansari, proprietor of Ansari Pharmacy and Bablu Pandey, proprietor of Sakchham Aushadhi Pasal were found charging exorbitant prices for the facemasks they sold to their customers. Taking undue benefits of the surging demand for facemasks amid the spreading third wave of the coronavirus, the shopkeepers hiked the price of the products.
According to the District Police Office, Hetauda, it will file cases of blackmarketeering against the unscrupulous traders.
