KATHMANDU, May 17: Chairperson of the CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal has paid his tributes to the late Madan Bhandari and Jibaraj Ashrit on the occasion of the 29th Madan-Ashrit Memorial Day today.

Issuing a press statement, Nepal remembered the late leader Bhandari as a dedicated leader of the communist movement, democratic ideologue, and leader of the patriotic movement.

Bhandari had propounded the ‘people's multiparty democracy’ and made the communist movement popular and robust in Nepal at a time when the communists in other parts of the globe were being cornered.

Chairperson Nepal further said, “Comrade Jibaraj Ashrit, too, was an able organization builder. His role in building the communist party norms and policy was unparalleled, Nepal argued.

The CPN (Unified Socialist) is moving ahead with the aim of taking the communist movement to newer heights as per the outline of people's revolution drawn by leader Pushpa Lal. He also reminded that his party was made against the ‘rightist, reactionary and individualistic arrogance’.

According to him, his party was devoted to establishing democratic values by fighting oppression and tyranny.
