Unidentified group abducts four persons

BARDIYA, May 22: An unknown armed group of seven to eight people has abducted four people of Khairigaun of Gulariya -4 and looted more than Rs. 100,000 from them.



Bhagirath Godiya, Nanau Godiya and Lallu Godiya who had returned from India five days ago from job were looted. They are all brothers of the same family. [break]



They were taken under control and their two boxes, one suitcase and documents were looted.



They had hit one of them with the rifle butt and pistol and sticks. The three were found at a jungle of Tulsipur, hands tied, said police.



The injured are undergoing treatment in Bardiya District Hospital, said Police Inspector Daksha Basnet.



The armed masked group had come with rifles, pistols, khukuri and sticks and might have attacked from personal enmity, and as police also suspected the Maoists as Maoist combat dress was also confiscated from around the spot.
