Furniture and documents were completely destroyed while the building suffered minor damage in the incident, causing damage worth Rs 50,000 to the office, according to secretary of the VDC Basudev Bhattarai.
The fire was put off with the help of locals and police at 9 am today. No group has claimed responsibility for the arson.
