Lal Dev Ray, the head of the office, was kidnapped while he was returning home at Sonusada from office on his motorcycle (JA 1 Pa 5914) after his duty.
An unidentified armed group kidnapped him near Parsa Chowk at around 6:30 pm, informed District Police Office.
His motorcycle has been recovered from a school in Parsa Bazaar and handed over to Roy’s son Bhushan, said Pipara Area Police Office.
The police said it has intensified the search for Ray.
