Two rounds of bullets were fired at a motorcycle rode by Rastriya Samachar Samiti correspondent Mohan Gole and chairman of Shanti Samag Kendra Srijana Dunuwar who were en route to Janakpur.
A police squad led by Superintendent of Police Sarbendra Khanal reached the spot within ten minutes of the incident. The squad has intensified the search of assailants.
