Unidentified assailants shoot at bank staff member

CHITWAN, June 15: Ram Rachchhek Yadav, a staff member of Nirdhan Utthan Bank in Nawalparasi, was injured on Monday afternoon after two unidentified assailants shot at him.



The assailants fired four rounds at Yadav, who works at the Beltari branch of the bank, while he was returning to the office after collecting money from a group at Narsahari VDC in Nawalparasi district. He was attacked in Gokulnagar area.



Yadav received severe bullet injuries to his back and is currently undergoing treatment at Butwal Zonal Hospital. The assailants robbed Yadav of Rs 20,000 cash. He was carrying additional cash of Rs 38,000 in his pocket, according to the bank.
