KATHMANDU, Nov 11: Nepal has won  the SAFF Under-15 women’s football championship 2022.

The Nepali under-15 girls squad was able to bag the title of the championship after goalkeeper Sujata Tamang skillfully foiled a penalty kick of the Bangladeshi team.

In the final match held under the double round robin system on Friday, Nepal ended up with a 1-1 draw against the Bangladeshi team, paving the way to secure the championship title.  

Nepal won the championship title because it had secured victory in three previous matches and secured a 1-1 draw against the Bangladeshi team on Friday. For Bangladesh, it was necessary to secure victory against Nepal to bag the championship title as per its previous score.
