UML urges its former leaders, cadres to return to party

KATHMANDU, April 8: The CPN-UML, the third largest party in the earstwhile Constituent Assembly, on Monday has urged its former cadres and leaders to return to the mother party.



Organizing a press conference at the central party office, Balkhu this afternoon, the party has appealed its former members to return to the party and strengthen the party ‘for the sake of safe guarding the country, people and process of change in the country’.[break]



“At this crucial juncture of the history, our party appeals to friends and comrades who were active in the party on different roles in past but left the party due to different reasons or stayed in active to return to the party,” reads a statement distributed in the conference.



The UML has also formally invited all the leftist blocks and groups who are in favor of peace, democracy and change to work in alliance or sit for party unification process through talks.
