UML to hold decisive talks with Maoists

KATHMANDU, Feb 27: A standing committee meeting of ruling CPN-UML on Sunday decided to hold a decisive talks with UCPN (Maoist) leaders over power-sharing issues later in the evening or on Monday.



“We at the meeting decided to hold a decisive talks with Maoist leaders,” UML General Secretary, Ishwar Pokharel, told reporters after the meeting.[break]



He said the UML will reiterate its previous stance in power-sharing with the largest coalition partner.



Newly-elected Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal has failed to give full shape to his three-member cabinet even three weeks after he was elected for the post due to dispute over heading the key ministries.



While UCPN (Maoist) has been refusing to join the government without home portfolio, a faction of UML led by former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and KP Sharma Oli have stood against Maoists heading the security-related ministries.
