UML to continue boycotting cabinet, House

KATHMANDU, April 10: Ruling Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist-Leninist has decided to continue boycotting cabinet meeting, disrupting parliament and continuing street protests.



Standing Committee meeting of the party held Friday decided to continue its protests until its demands are met.



The second largest party in the ruling five-party coalition demanded that prime minister must make written commitment at the parliament to end killings, implement past commitments and guarantee implementation of the commitments.



Concluding that the Unified Communist party of Nepal (Maoist) has been protecting the criminals, the meeting demanded that the murderer of Prachanda Thaiba should be handed over to police immediately, according to party secretary Yuba Raj Gyawali.
