UML taking lead with 56 votes in Atharai Rural Municipality

KATHMANDU, June 30: CPN-UML is taking lead with 56 votes in Atharai Rural Municipality in the Tehrathum district. 

According to the latest vote count updates, CPN-UML candidate Bishnu Bikram Subba has got 1,745 votes while his closest rival of Nepali Congress candidate Narayan Ingnam has got 1,689 votes.

Similarly, for the post of deputy chief, UML candidate Rupa Kandangwa is taking lead with 1,811 votes while Maoist Center (in alliance with NC) candidate Ramila Khanal is trailing behind with 1,125 votes.

UML has won the elections in Ward No. 1 and 3 with its entire panel. Similarly, NC has won the elections in Ward No. 2. Dil Kumar Pahim has been elected in this ward. Kamaldhwaj Limbu has been elected as ward chair of Ward No. 1 with 668 votes while his closest rival Dhan Bahadur Mabo got 391 votes. 

A total of 8,592 votes had been cast out of 12,567 in the local level elections held on June 28.
