UML’s Hari Narayan defeats Madhesh Province minister in Dhanusha-4 (B)

JANAKPURDHAM, Nov 29: Hari Narayan Mahato of the CPN-UML has been elected from Dhanusha Province Assembly Constituency No. 4 (B). He has won by defeating the candidate of the CPN (Unified Socialist) and Minister of Madhes Province, Shatrudhan Mahato.

Hari Narayan defeated Madhes Minister of Industry, Tourism and Forest Shatrudhan by a margin of 1,342 votes. The elected Hari Narayan has secured 17,302 votes while his nearest competitor Shatrudhan has secured 15,960 votes. Hari Narayan is the former mayor of Mithila Municipality in Dhanusha. He won the mayorship in 2074 from UML. Satrudhan was the common candidate of the ruling coalition.
