KATHMANDU, April 10: Bimala Ghimire, the candidate representing CPN-UML, has been elected as Vice Chairperson of the National Assembly.

Ghimire secured victory with a significant majority during the voting session held in today's meeting of the upper house of the federal parliament.


Out of 55 lawmakers present during the voting, Ghimire secured victory by garnering 39 votes. The National Assembly has a total of 59 members.
