KATHMANDU, May 19: National Assembly Vice Chairperson Bimala Ghimire on Monday departed for Xi’an city in China’s Shaanxi province for a six-day official visit. She is leading an eight-member parliamentary delegation to China.
Vice Chairperson Ghimire is scheduled to participate in the ‘Shanghai Cooperation Forum on Poverty Reduction and Sustainable Development’ and the ‘9th Silk Road International Expo and the Investment and Trade Forum for Cooperation between East and West China,’ which will be held in Xi'an city, China, from May 19 to 24. She will address both the events.

Accompanying her are members of the House of Representatives Dinesh Kumar Yadav and Urmila Majhi, National Assembly members Beduram Bhusal and Sumitra B.C., Undersecretary of the Federal Parliament Secretariat Pushpa Prakash Malla, Section Officer Nabin Bhattarai, and the Vice Chairperson’s Personal Secretary Prem Bahadur Singh.
The delegation is scheduled to return to Nepal on May 24.
