JANAKPURDHAM, March 18: The CPN-UML is participating in the Madhesh Province government with a ministry.
Sources said that preparations are being made to appoint UML's parliamentary party leader Saroj Kumar Yadav as the Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development of Madhesh Province after sacking the Nepali Congress ministers today.

A Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) leader informed Republica that Yadav will be sworn in today itself.
According to him, an agreement has been reached between the new power alliance of the Madhesh government, sacking Nepali Congress (NC)' Physical Infrastructure Development Minister Krishna Prasad Yadav, Health and Population Minister Birendra Singh and Home, Communications and Law Minister Mohammad Samim and giving four ministries including education and culture to the CPN-UML. However, due to lack of internal consensus within the UML, preparations are being made to appoint only Yadav as the Physical Infrastructure Development Minister today.
JSP-led Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav asked NC ministers to resign. But the ministers have been maintaining a stand that they will not resign from the government until the Chief Minister dismisses them with reasons.
