A group led by Megh Bahadur Karki and his son Bishal thrashed the Maoist cadres Laxman Pandey, Chandra Bahadur Pandey and Gupta Khadka for no reason, says the press release issued by Bagi Village Committee of the UCPN-Maoist and All Nepal National Independent Students Union-Revolutionary District Committee. Karki is the former chairman of the VDC.
However, the UML district Chairman Ramji Prasad Ghimire claimed that Karki only separated the two men while they were quarreling.
Police have arrested Karki and begun investigation.
The injured are undergoing treatment at Arghakhanchi District Hospital in Sandhikharka.
