The UML has made it clear that the party is ready to hold additional discussions whether to support or not the Maoist party in the prime ministerial race if the proposed work plan was amended.
During the meeting, UCPN (Maoist) chairman, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, urged the UML leaders to support in a Maoist-led government formation as the concrete proposal was floated to conclude the peace process and draft the new constitution.

However, both the parties have agreed to hold discussions prior to the prime ministerial election for the formation of the national consensus government.
