KATHMANDU, Oct 2: CPN-UML leader KP Sharma Oli on Tuesday criticized the ongoing dialogue among the main political parties and dubbed the talks as mere drama.

He, however, stressed on the formation of alternative government after forging consensus among the political parties to replace the incumbent government.

“Current Baburam Bhattarai-led government is just caretaker one and therefore, resignation of the government is not required to form new government,” said Oli, speaking at a program organised by Mahendra Narayan Nidhi Memorial Academy to mark the 143rd birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

Addressing the function, he also accused the UCPN (Maoist) of creating hindrances to promulgate new constitution through Constituent Assembly.

He further made it clear  that new constitution would not be promulgated in next 20 years as well if Maoists fail to transform.
