Speaking at a press conference held by Press Chautari, Kaski in Pokhara on Sunday, he said that despite difficulties and challenges, UML is preparing for the elections. He said, "Even though the party was divided in the 2000 elections, there was no alliance against us." Now we are in a state of division and at the same time we have two challenges in front of us to form an alliance with different parties.

Pandey said that even if the alliance is meant to solve the problem, it has become a problem and it will lead the country to further crisis. "The country will not even get a solution from the alliance though it is for solving the problem. But if the alliance itself becomes a problem, neither the country gets a solution, nor does it open the way for one of the parties to move forward." "This alliance can lead the country to further crisis," he said.
