UML disciplinary committee opposes Karki's as CIAA chief

KATHMANDU, March 19: The disciplinary committee of the CPN-UML has decided to oppose the proposed appointment of former chief secretary Lokman Singh Karki as chief of commissioner at the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA).



Committee´s Chairman Amrit Kumar Bohora on Tuesday issuing a statement said that they had already asked party Chairman Jhalanath Khanal to oppose the proposal. [break]



The committee has also said that proposing Karki as CIAA chief by the leaders of the political party is shameful and unresponsive act.
