KATHMANDU, Jan 25: The CPN-UML has criticized the government decision to review the age for senior citizen allowance to the age of 65.

Organizing a press meet at the party central office, Dhumbarahi, the party has condemned the government for making the inappropriate decision that would affect long-lasting. Terming the incumbent government as caretaker government, the party has said that the caretaker government does not have any rights to make any decision that would burden the economy of the state.

Stating that the government making the unnecessary decision is just for the cheap popularity, the party claimed that government decision would be reviewed once the new government is formed. Likewise, responding to the government decision to add the housing grant by Rs 100,000 for the earthquake victims, the party said that the government wants to overshadow its decision to involve the CEO of National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) in the election.

Speaking about the government decision of creating the position in the police, the party said that the government just wants to fulfill needs and demands of the certain group.

Talking about the government policy for voluntary retirement of the civil servant, CPN-UML has claimed that the government is piling up the economic burden of Rs 60 billion in the state coffer.

Stating that the government is focused on splitting the left alliance, UML has claimed that the government is seeking a legal way to hitch in forming a new government of the left alliance.
