KATHMANDU, July 1: CPN-UML candidate Hari Prasad Chongbang Limbu has been elected as the chief of Phedap Rural Municipality. He secured 3, 439 votes. His closest rival of Nepali Congress Keshav Prasad Bhetwal got 3, 220 votes.
UML clinches victory in Dudhauli Municipality
Similarly, to the post of deputy chief, UML candidate Gita Devi Thapa has been elected. Thapa got 3, 434 votes while her closest rival of Maoist Center (in alliance with NC) Ganga Prasad Limbu got 1701 votes.
In total of 7, 296 votes were cast in the local level elections held on June 28.
