UML central committee meeting to be held at 1 PM

KATHMANDU, Dec 11: CPN-UML Central Committee meeting is scheduled to be held in Bhaktapur today. The second central committee meeting after the 10th general convention of the CPN-UML will be held at 1PM today at the German House Hospitality Gathering, Bhaktapur.

KATHMANDU, Dec 11: CPN-UML Central Committee meeting is scheduled to be held in Bhaktapur today. The second central committee meeting after the 10th general convention of the CPN-UML will be held at 1PM today at the German House Hospitality Gathering, Bhaktapur.


According to Sher Bahadur Tamang, Secretary at the UML Central Office, 15 agendas will be discussed in the meeting.

He said that the swearing in of the remaining central members, review of the general convention, nomination of members in the central committee, formation of politburo, standing committee and central advisory council, finalizing work division of labor and nomination in the post of vacant office bearers in the province will be done in the meeting.


The agenda of the meeting also includes setting the date of UML district and province conventions, amending the party’s statute, meeting procedure, central office management, message of the general convention among others.


“Although the meeting of the Central Committee was scheduled to be held at 11 AM today, it has been postponed for 1PM. Meanwhile, the secretariat meeting will be held at 11AM at the residence of Chairman KP Sharma Oli in Balkot,” said Tamang.


The secretariat meeting will discuss agendas that will be taken to the central committee.  The meeting is scheduled to be held till tomorrow.
