KATHMANDU, Sept 27: The Central Committee meeting of the CPN- UML has put forward a proposal to bring amendments in the existing number of office bearers.
Talking to media persons after the end of the three-day CC meeting on Sunday, Chief of Publicity Department, Yogesh Bhattarai, said that the number of general secretaries, deputy general secretaries and secretaries would be the same while a new proposal has been floated to keep seven vice chairpersons.

According to Bhattarai, Chairman KP Sharma Oli has also been positive about the proposal. Chairperson Oli, however, said that the impact of their decision to increase the number of Vice Chairpersons in the party should be taken into consideration. “The proposal will be discussed further in the Standing Committee,” he said.
