The UDMF has already warned of launching a ‘stern protest’ from April 13 if it demands within April 12.
Chairman of Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal (FSF-N) Upendra Yadav said that the meeting has been called to ready new protest plan by identifying weaknesses of the past protest.
“The meeting will evaluate and unveil new protest programs,” Yadav told Republica Online, “We will discuss on future plan on what to do if the government fails to address our demands within the deadline.”
Chairman of Rastriya Madhes Samajwadi Party, Sharad Singh Bhandari said that existing political affairs, agendas of protest readied by the secretariat and recent China visit by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will be discussed during the meeting.
Bhandari said that the UDMF will be launching Kathmandu-centric protest if their demands are not addressed within the deadline, adding, “Seeking rights from the capital by protesting in Tarai is irrelevant."
At a time when rumors are rife about another border blockade, leader Bhandari said the issue is not UDMF's agenda anymore.
