UCPN-Maoist, UMl hold talks on ending outstanding issues

KATHMANDU, March 9: Leaders of UCPN-Maoist and CPN-UML held discussion on Saturday morning focusing on some outstanding issues to be agreed before the formation of the election government under the leadership of chief justice.



The talks held at the residence of UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, focused on the formation of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, citizenship distribution, updating of voters list and allotting ranks to former Maoist combatants in Nepal Army.[break]



After the discussion, UCPN-Maoist Vice Chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha and UML leader Bhim Rawal said they were near to consensus and some issues were yet to be solved.



Top leaders of Madhesi Morcha and major three political parties will discus the outstanding issues and some conclusion might be drawn from the talks today, it is learnt.
