The meeting of the office-bearers and organization department of the party held at the official residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar on Monday, decided to show maximum flexibility to give an outlet to the political crisis and also urged all political parties to be honest for the same.
Stating that consensus has not been forged and outlet to the current political crisis could not be found out as the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML have been focusing on the government rather than outlet to the political crisis, Spokesperson of the UCPN (Maoist), Agni Sapkota said the meeting also decided to give continuity to discussions and meetings.
During the meeting, Chairman of the Party, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, explained about the current political situation. Dahal blamed that traditional parliamentary parties have failed to fulfill the aspirations of the people for change.
Similarly, Vice-Chairman of the party and Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai informed about the government and issues linked with the government.
Spokesperson Sapkota said the meeting also discussed that the Prime Minister will not resign from the post until the political parties forged consensus in a package.
Stating that the trend of raising the issue of government without forging consensus in a package is obstacle to consensus, the UCPN (Maoist) also urged all political parties to be ready for consensus.
Discussion about various issues including general convention declared by the party, the preparation of the general convention, organizational issues, among others, was held in the meeting, Sapkota added.
