KATHMANDU, Sept 1: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has sent a second tranche of relief aircraft carrying 45 tonnes of supplies for people affected by floods and landslides in Nepal.
The aircraft, operated through the UAE Aid Agency, arrived in Nepal carrying essential food supplies, relief materials, power generators and other vital necessities, according to a UAE press release.

The relief comes in implementation of the directives of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who ordered the allocation of $10 million in assistance for those affected by the disaster.
The UAE said the assistance is aimed at providing urgent support to families affected by the floods and landslides, particularly those in the worst-hit areas.
The initiative is part of the UAE's humanitarian efforts to support people affected by natural disasters and crises around the world and reflects its commitment to humanitarian solidarity and international cooperation, the press release said.
The UAE had sent its first relief aircraft to Nepal in August carrying urgent assistance for disaster-affected communities.
The UAE said it would continue its humanitarian efforts to support people affected by the disaster and help mitigate its consequences.
