UAE Ambassador Abdulla pays courtesy call on PM Oli

Ambassador Shamsi handed over the invitation of UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to PM Oli to attend the 'World Governments Summit' to be held in Dubai in the second week of February.

KATHMANDU, Dec 18: Abdulla Al Shamsi, the ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Nepal, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Wednesday.


In the meeting, Ambassador Shamsi handed over the invitation of UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to PM Oli to attend the 'World Governments Summit' to be held in Dubai in the second week of February.

According to PM Oli’s Secretariat, several measures were discussed to enhance and strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries during  the meeting held on Wednesday at the PM’s Residence in Baluwatar.


During the meeting, the two sides assessed opportunities for cooperation in Nepal’s trade, investment, agriculture, tourism, hydro energy and other sectors.


According to PM Oli’s Secretariat, discussions were also focused on the effective implementation of previous agreements between the UAE and Nepal.
