KATHMANDU, Dec 16: Nepal have made a winning start in the ongoing U-19 Women's Asia Cup in Malaysia.
In their first match on Monday, Nepal defeated Pakistan by 6 wickets, advancing to the Super Four of the tournament. With this victory, the Nepali women's team has made history by defeating the Pakistani women's team.
Pakistan, suffering its second consecutive defeat, has been eliminated in the group stage. In their first match of Group B, Pakistan was defeated by India by 9 wickets on Sunday. India has also advanced to the Super Four. The match between Nepal and India on Tuesday will determine the group winner and runner-up.
At the Kinrara Academy Oval, Nepal chased down Pakistan's target of 105 runs in 19 overs, losing 4 wickets.

In Nepal's victory, captain Puja Mahato contributed an unbeaten 47 runs, while Simana KC remained not out at 12 runs. The pair shared an unbeaten 39-run partnership for the fifth wicket, leading Nepal to victory.
Sana Praveen scored 10, Sony Pakhrein made 13, and Sabitri Dhami scored 8 runs. Jyotsna Marasini, however, could not open her account.
Fatima Khan and Yuratulin both took one wicket each, but they could not prevent Nepal's victory.
Earlier, Pakistan, batting first, scored 104 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted overs. Komal Khan was the top scorer with 38 runs, while Maham Enis remained not out at 29 runs.
