KATHMANDU, Dec 8: The ACC U-19 Asia Cup began in the UAE today, with a Nepal vs Pakistan match in Group A.
Nepal's U-19 cricket team faced a challenging start in their ACC U-19 Asia Cup clash against Pakistan in Dubai. Choosing to bat first after winning the toss, Nepal's innings suffered setbacks, losing five crucial wickets and posting a total of 62 runs within the initial 23 overs of the scheduled 50.
The current batsmen, Dipesh Kandel and Uttam Magar, are trying to stabilize the innings. Dev Khanal, Akash Tripathi, Tilak Bhandari, Arjun Kumal, and Gulshan Jha were among the five wickets lost for Nepal.
Following today’s match with Pakistan, Nepal is scheduled to face Afghanistan on December 10 and India on December 12.
The U-19 Nepali Team includes Dev Khanal (Captain), Arjun Kumal, Akash Tripathi, Deepak Dumre, Hemanta Dhami, Gulshan Jha, Deepesh Kandel, Bishal Bikram KC, Subhash Bhandari, Deepak Bohara, Uttam Thapa Magar, Bipin Rawal, Tilak Rajbhandari, Akash Chand and Deepak Bohara.
