KATHMANDU, Sept 29: Nepal's U-19 cricket team lost to India by a huge run difference of 171 while chasing the target of 305 runs in the first game of U-19 Asia Cup.
India, which opted to bat first after losing the toss, scored 304 runs on the board in Bangladesh.
Whereas, Nepal managed to collect only 133 runs in 36.5 overs by losing all the wickets.

Skipper Asif Sheikh scored highest 25 runs for the Nepali team facing 61 balls. Likewise, Rohit Kumar Paudel, Sandip Jora, Ravi Shah and Rabindra Shahi scored 24, 20, 16 and 11 runs respectively.
Siddhartha Desai and Harsh Tyagi took equal 3-3 wickets each for the Indian team. Also, Mohit Janagra took 2 wickets whereas Ajay Gangapuramar and Ayush Bodni shared 1-1 wicket each to pack-up the Nepali squad.
Yashawi Jaiswal, India's opening batsman scored 104 runs hitting eight fours and five sixes. Jaiswal was caught out. Likewise, Simran Singh, Ayush Bodni and Dev Dutta Padikal scored 82, 33 and 30 runs respectively.
Nepali bowlers Bhim Sarki and Rashid Khan took 4 and 2 wickets respectively. The other bowlers, Kamal Singh Airee, Sagar Dhakal and Sandeep Jora took one wicket each.
Nepal had reached the semi-finals in the previous U-19 Asia Cup. Nepal and India have faced one another seven times. In the seven encounters, India has won six times.
