Typhoid claims four in Dailekh

SURKHET, Sept 2: Four persons have died of high fever in Dailekh district on Tuesday with the District Public Health Office (DPHO) suspecting it to be typhoid.



DPHO Chief Dr Surya Gurung said Santa Kumari BK, 7, and Khadka Bahadur Gharti, 55, of Badlamji VDC, Bhumisara Kathayat, 42, of Bisalla and an unidentified three-year-old boy from Paduka VDC died on Tuesday.



Dr Gurung said the disease initially shows symptoms of diarrhea triggers high fever and it could be typhoid.
