Two youths killed in road accident

MORANG, Feb 21: Two youths were killed in a road accident at Urlabari in Morang district on Saturday.

MORANG, Feb 21: Two youths were killed in a road accident at Urlabari in Morang district on Saturday.


DSP Man Bahadur Rai, spokesperson for the District Police Office, said that a truck headed east and a scooter coming from the opposite direction collided leaving the two youths on the scooter injured. According to police, they breathed their last while undergoing treatment. The accident happened in Bhadramari Chowk, Urlabari-4 under the East-West Highway.

The deceased have been identified as Pradip Dhami, 23 and 22-year-old Sudip Bhujel of Sisauli-8, Urlabari. They were announced dead at 8:15 pm on Saturday.


Police have arrested the truck driver Bhakta Bahadur Dahal, 43, of Kamal Rural Municipality-6 of Jhapa and have started investigation.
