JAJARKOT, Sept 6: Police have arrested two youths on the charge of attempting to rape a 13-year-old schoolgirl of Bheremalika Municipality-2, Temele.
According to Police Inspector Subhash Bhatta at District Police Office, Jajarkot, the arrestees have been identified as Bharat Sahi, 18, and Chandra Bahadur Sahi of Dashera-8.
The youth tried to rape the girl, a first grader at a school in Dhime-1, near jungle while she was returning to her house.
The girl managed to avert the rape, police said. The accused ran away when the girl yelled for a help.
“A case for the rape attempt has been filed against them, Bhatta said, “Investigation into the incident was underway.”
