The deceased have been identified as Dev Bahadur Aire of Kata VDC and Jaya Bahadur Bohara of Sumra, Bajhang. [break]
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Surya KC, Aire died after falling off the Manjha cliff in Dhamela VDC, while Bohara had his ill-fated fall from the Chuppi cliff.
Both of them fell off the cliffs four days ago but police were informed of the incident only on Friday, DSP KC informed.
The families of the deceased have performed their last rites, police informed.
Hundreds of Yarshagumba collectors die falling off cliffs and due to altitude sickness every year. Last year, seven persons had died in similar incidents in Bajhang.
