Locals have turned to the District Administration Office for security after the border police post manned by 15 security personnel failed to take the hooligans under control.

There are few villagers now. Most of them who had left for low-lying regions to avoid bitter cold have not returned to the village.

Karmarong rural municipality had decided to open tickets from May 15 to 18 for the yarsha pickers this year  15 days earlier than the previous year. They will be allowed to enter the yarsha region from May 19.

Locals have taken five yarsha pickers under control. All those arrested are from Jumla district, informed Lama.
