DOLPA, June 24: Two teenage boys died after drowning in Bheri River on Monday. The deceased have been identified as 13-year-old Birbahadur Nepali and 14-year-old Bimal Nepali of Lha village at Tripurasundari municipality in Dolpa.
The rain-swollen river swept away the two teenage boys when they were swimming in the river.
The duo were seventh graders at Masta Basic School in Dolpa. The body of Bimal was recovered. A search operation has been intensified for missing Birbahadur, according to Jayakrishna Neupane, the witness.
Sub-Inspector of Police Pram Bahadur Bohara said that they have been issuing alerts to people to keep safe themselves as the flow of water in Bheri River has gone up in the past few days.
