Two succumb to COVID-19 in Parsa

BIRGUNJ, July 29: Two more people have died due to COVID-19 infection in Parsa district on Wednesday.


According to Assistant Chief District Officer of Parsa Lalit Kumar Basnet, one of them passed away at Naryani COVID-19 Hospital in Gandak, while the other breathed his last while undergoing treatment at National Medical College in Birgunj.

A 68-year-old male patient from Birgunj Metropolitan City-7, Reshamkothi breathed his last at 10:40 am. He was admitted to the hospital after experiencing respiratory difficulties.


Swab sample of another patient, who also died on Wednesday morning, was tested positive for COVID-19 only in the evening. The 71-year-old male patient was admitted to the hospital after suffering from diarrhea.


Birgunj has reported a total of six cases of fatality due to COVID-19 in the last eight days.
