Two RPP becoming one

KATHMANDU, July 25: Rastriya Prajatantra Party and RPP Nepal Samanantar or parallel group is to unite. 


The unification is formally taking place tomorrow, according to a statement issued by the parallel group here today. "All internal arrangements have been finalized, and it will be made public tomorrow", said the group's spokesperson Sagun Lawoti.

The unification is reportedly taking place between the two parties with similar background and as per the call for unification among the traditional and nationalist forces, so as to rightly guide Nepal's political and social development process.


"We have worked to gather force as a decisive role of the nationalist force was essential in national politics", Coordinator of the group's talks committee Shyam Timalsena said. 


The Rastriya Prajatantra Party that had been formed as an alternative democratic force along with the political change of 1990 broke into various factions and groups at different points of time in the past. RSS
