Two more Pakistani aircrafts arrive with aid

KATHMANDU, May 5: Third sortie of two Pakistani aircrafts, carrying relief goods for the earthquake victims in Nepal, arrived at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu on Sunday morning.

The relief goods include more than 600 tents, 400 kgs of food items and four tons of medicines, Pakistan Embassy in Kathmandu said in a statement.


“Government of Pakistan is also making arrangements to bring Nepalese doctor who are doing their post graduation studies in Pakistan, to Nepal to help the relief efforts. A group of six Nepalese doctors have arrived in Nepal through Pakistan’s special flights,” read the statement issued by the Embassy.

Pakistan’s Field Hospital at Bhaktapur is providing treatment to patients suffering from various disasters related injuries. The team has performed 13 successful surgeries and a baby boy was also born in Pakistan Field Hospital on 29 April 2015. Around 600 plus patients have been provided medical assistance in the Pakistan Field Hospital.
