Two killed, 11 injured in Tanahu jeep accident

TANAHU, Mar 5: Two persons were killed and 11 others injured when a jeep slid off the road and fell around 30 meters at Ghansikuwa of Byas municipality-12 along the Prithivi Highway today.

TANAHU, Mar 5: Two persons were killed and 11 others injured when a jeep slid off the road and fell around 30 meters at Ghansikuwa of Byas municipality-12 along the Prithivi Highway today.

The burst of the tyre is reported to be a reason for the accident. The dead have been identified as the jeep driver Nara Bahadur Gharti of Byas municipality-14 and Buddhi Bahadur Thapa, 65, of Bandipur rural municipality-3. 


Thapa breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Damauli hospital, while Gharti at Pokhara-based Medical College, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Shayamu Aryal, adding that the injured are receiving treatment at Narahari and Damauli hospitals. The ill-fated jeep (Ga 1 Ja 2907) was heading to Damauli from Bandipur rural municipality. RSS
