BAITADI, May 23: Two earthquakes jolted Baitadi district headquarters early Friday morning, prompting locals to rush out of their homes in panic.
Chintan Timilsina, head of the earthquake measurement center in Surkhet, said Khalanga, the district headquarters, was the epicenter.
Tremors felt in Sudurpaschim Province

The first tremor, measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale, struck at 1:48 AM, followed by a second quake of magnitude 3.7 at 2:00 AM.
According to Timilsina, the earthquakes also shook Darchula, Bajhang, and Dadeldhura. Authorities have yet to receive reports of damage.
